Diary: If I Lose My Head

To all of you…

Some amazing things have happened this week.

Reunited with the Def Leppard boys and now they are in stadiums and man…it’s about as big as I’ve ever seen and I’m so proud of them. They had a management switchover some years ago and the team they have built is so professional and each member of the band is thriving…doing their own thing, staying healthy, spending time with their families…it’s nice when nice things happen to nice people.

This week I’m going to (or at least I think I am) announce to everyone that I have signed with Legere. I can’t tell you how grateful I am to all of you for being on this journey with me, never knowing where it’s headed. These past years I have really found my groove, the love of my life and my deepest joy in the songs I’m writing. You have waded through all things - metal, roots, folk, side bands, second careers, babies….my whole life. And here we are …. a new chapter. I am going to take you all along with me.

I also admitted to myself that I must play bass. Michael called up Ibanez and got me an artist price on the bass of my dreams. This, after one of my son’s friends scored a Jackson Pro Spectra. There was no way I could have the 12 year old down the block with a better bass than I. See everyone? I still have some ego.

I love you all and please, if you haven’t joined us for a Zang (zoom hang) just set aside your fears. ALL ARE WELCOME. You will have received the invite by now and just come and join us. It’s a friendly safe space and we’d love to see more of you at them!
